As a member of a family of attorneys, the legal profession has always been a part of Diane's life. As a result, attending law school was an easy decision for Diane.
"Watching my father working with his clients and my grandfather's career as a judge, I was inspired by the advocacy aspect of being an attorney -- crafting a strategy and arguing the client's position to the court," says Diane.
In law school, Diane furthered this interest as Chair of the Moot Court Board and through the law school's Criminal Clinic program. In partnership with the local county attorney's office, Diane appeared in court on behalf of the County, prepared witnesses to testify, and tried criminal jury trials.
After law school, Diane served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge John F. Wright with the Nebraska Supreme Court. She gained valuable experience drafting arguments for opinions, evaluating case records and court practices, and watching other attorneys argue before the court.
Diane serves as a board member on the Board of Trustees for Rho Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.
