Alternative Dispute Resolution / Mediation

Every client needs a legal strategy and, in some cases, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) or mediation are solid choices.

ADR offers timely and cost-effective methods to resolve legal conflicts with a minimum amount of disruption.

Today all courts either require or encourage parties to engage in mediation. Not only is mediation an effective tool, but it is actually an opportunity to resolve a conflict at an early stage to keep costs down and time away from running the business to a minimum.

Arbitration is a resolution method utilizing a neutral party or attorneys and is now required by many commercial agreements. Parties can present evidence before an arbitrator who will ultimately render a binding decision.

As attorneys, we believe in the positive benefits for clients who choose ADR. Some of our attorneys are trained mediators through the University of Missouri and are approved to serve as mediators for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Others are approved as arbitrators by the American Arbitration Association.
